At launchtime, just a day or so after the first Democratic debate in South Carolina, and just a few days prior to the first Republican debate at the Reagan Library in California, already it is crystal clear. ALL OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES SUCK.

I mean, really. Not that I would have voted for you anyway, but at least I held some respect for you before your Rockingham County (NH) Lincoln Day Dinner. Before that, I held some respect for you simply because of your professionalism and level-headedness after 9/11. I have to admit, though, it was a gimme. You didn't earn it, really, you just happened to be an even-keeled, level-headed guy who was in the right place at the right time.
Now don't get me wrong, I never held a grudge against you before, either. I wouldn't have voted for you on sheer principle, because the Party of Lincoln has become the party of dirty tricksters, thieves, liars, and morally hypocritical jackasses.
But until that dinner, you were one of the most respectable candidates on the GOP ticket in my eyes. All of that came crashing down when you played that sad, cynical, overplayed hand, that hand which is usually reserved for lesser men, men who lack the substance to come up with anything more reasonable, creative or honest to convince voter lemmings to vote for you. You played the "Vote for a Democrat and the BOOGIE MAN Will Get You" hand.
This might have worked before the last two elections, until it was overplayed by Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. Now, most of the voters can all see right through it. Shame on you. Shame on you for doing your part to dumb down the Presidential Election. Shame on you for underestimating the American people. And ***** you for insulting our intelligence.
